Folklore Galižana

Galižana's folklore, established in the 1948, is always a strong and rich activity, performing in various folklore events at both the national and international territory, inevitably encountering many successes.

The earliest songs, whose emergence dates back a couple of centuries ago, are songs “a la pera” and “a la longa” while traditional dances “el Valser” and “la Furlana” accompanied by two very old instruments dating back from the 16th - 17th century “le pive” and “el simbolo”.

The first one plays the melody, while the second shows the rhythm. The instruments and songs of Galižana are under the UNESCO’s heritage.
