St. Margaret

The church of St. Margaret can be found surrounded by olive groves and drywalls, in the proximity of Vodnjan.

It was probably built in the late 11th century. The preserved frescoes of saints in the interior are dated to the 13th century. The frescoes have been recently restored.

​​​​​​​The big oak right beside the church is close to 400 years old. The archeological site, located near the church, remains, unfortunately, unresearched until this date.
